DOMINO was present with a workshop and several posters and presentations at the 19th International Conference on Organic Fruit Growing, hold at the University of Hohenheim (Germany) on 17-19 February 2020.

Prof. Sabine Zikeli from Univ. Hohenheim and Prof. Eligio Malusa’ from INHORT illustrated its concept and the tasks related to soil management to the more than 50 researchers, advisors and farmers present during the Workshop Session “Soil Management (projects Domino and Excalibur)” hold on Monday 17th. The workshop allowed to deepen and discuss about the approach for row (using functional plants) and nutrition (using leguminous species) management that the project has proposed. During the workshop the methodology for monetizing the ecosystem services was also presented and a lively discussion accompanied the appraisal of the perception exercise about the selected services. The participants of the Conference were also able to learn more about the project during the several presentations on plant nutrition (four in the Session “Soil Management” chaired by Sabine Zikeli) and protection (two in the Session “Physical Barriers” chaired by Dr Markus Kelderer from Laimburg Centre). The project results were also made available through the presentation during the posters’ session. All works of the project were also published on the Conference proceedings which are going to be available also on the website https://www.ecofruit.net/proceedings.html.
