On Sept 15, Prof. Eligio Malusa underlined how the soil management with living mulches in organic apple orchards can have an impact on soil biodiversity, including the microbiome, during a seminar organized by the MICROBIOME AGRO LIVING LAB initiative.

Prof. Davide Neri presented the results of DOMINO trials about the management of organic orchards and vineyards at the SANATECH 2021 fair which was held in Bologna on 9-12 September 2021.

One of the largest and most important international fairs about fruit production, MACFRUIT 2021 has seen the participation of DOMINO within a workshop organised by the fair in collaboration with the Universities of Bologna, Ancona, and Modena and Reggio Emilia that aimed at presenting the “New frontiers in protected fruit growing”.

On 6-10 September, more  than 2,500 organic stakeholders, including farmers, researchers and policymakers have debated questions around crop resilience, organic farming and health during the Organic World Congress, the largest organic gathering on the subject, held in Rennes on 6-10 September 2021.

At the end of the project, the main activities focused on implementing the knowledge and practical experiences gained during the project implementation. Meetings with producers and advisers were held, where a short clip about the experiments conducted within the project was also presented.
